Six Free Festivals Coming to Dallas in October 2026
The AT&T Performing Arts Center has announced a six-event free festival series for 2026-27, bringing public arts programming to the Dallas Arts District, West Dallas and Oak Cliff. The events will run from October 2026 through May 2027, with four festivals held on the center’s campus and two presented offsite through its ArtsBridge community engagement initiative. The series begins Oct. 3 with the fifth annual Latinidad festival, scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Dallas Arts District. The event will include Lara Latin, Alpha Midway Dance Group and DJ AMARIS. On Oct. 31, Stage Fright: A Halloween Family Festival will offer a costume contest, petting zoo, interactive trick-or-treat activities and zombie dance lessons in collaboration with the Dallas Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs. On Nov. 7, Brass & Jazz in the Park will take place at Mattie Nash-Myrtle Davis Park in West Dallas. Co-presented by The New Orleans Original BuckShop, it will feature jazz, dance, Black Mardi Gras Indians, a New Orleans Second Line, Louisiana food and art activities. The campus holiday event, Reliant Lights Your Holidays, follows Dec. 5 with Santa photos, real snow, fireworks and music by Empire 6. Spring events include the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month Festival on May 8, 2027, and Blues in the Bottom on May 29 at Eloise Lundy Park in Oak Cliff. The final festival honors blues guitarist and former Tenth Street Historic District resident T-Bone Walker. The announcement is relevant to Dallas because it provides free cultural and family events in multiple neighborhoods, extending arts programming beyond the downtown Arts District.
