Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce Launches First Destination Campaign

Published by Sydney · Sydney · 4 days ago

From Cabramatta’s celebrations to the Blue Mountains, Western Sydney’s tourism offerings now have a shared campaign. The Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce has launched *A World At Your Doorstep*, its first unified campaign to promote the region as a destination in its own right. Developed after feedback from tourism businesses and industry stakeholders, it brings 13 local government areas onto a platform intended to attract visitors and encourage longer stays. The campaign was unveiled to nearly 400 attendees at the 2026 Western Sydney Tourism Awards. Its doorway theme invites people to explore a region home to more than 2.2 million people from over 170 countries. Alongside Cabramatta’s celebrations, it highlights dining and entertainment in Parramatta and Canley Vale, and major events at venues including CommBank Stadium and Accor Stadium. The shared platform also gives tourism businesses a way to promote the Hawkesbury River, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Penrith’s adventure activities, orchards, historic sites and Aboriginal cultural experiences alongside hotels, food and wine, and arts events. The campaign will run across digital, social, outdoor and industry channels as investment continues in projects including Western Sydney International Airport and Powerhouse Parramatta. In the year ending June 2026, Western Sydney recorded 29.6 million visitors and $9.6 billion in visitor spending, accounting for 43 per cent of all visitors to Sydney.
