Powerhouse Parramatta Set to Become a New Cultural Event Venue in Sydney

Published by Sydney · Sydney · 12 days ago

Powerhouse Parramatta is being positioned as a new cultural and event destination for Sydney. Located on the banks of the Parramatta River, the museum will combine exhibition space with purpose-built facilities for private and corporate events. Its setting offers organisers an alternative to a conventional hotel ballroom or convention centre, with events taking place within a cultural institution. The venue will have seven event spaces and is designed to host gatherings ranging from 20 guests to 1,000 attendees. The spaces are intended for executive meetings, product launches, conferences, gala dinners, exhibitions and large celebrations. This range gives organisers options for both smaller functions and major events at the same site. Designed by architects Moreau Kusunoki and Genton, the building has a 6-Star Green Star rating. The venue also highlights its transport connections, hospitality services and dedicated events team, which will assist organisers from their initial enquiry through to the event day. Beyond the facilities, Powerhouse Parramatta aims to place events in a setting shaped by the museum’s focus on creativity, innovation and community. Its largest event capacity is 1,000 attendees.
