Houston Energy and Climate Week 2026: Events, Tours and Panels Lineup
Houston Energy and Climate Week returns for its third year Sept. 12–18, 2026, with panels, tours, startup pitches, networking and social events centered on the energy transition. Many programs will be held in the Ion District, with additional events across Houston and the surrounding region. The week opens Sept. 13 with the & Awards at ARTECHOUSE Houston, recognizing local energy leaders and honoring former Mayor Sylvester Turner posthumously. Brews on the Bayou at Saint Arnold Brewery will feature a conversation between Genesis Park’s Paul Hobby and The Bee Suite CEO Katie Mehnert. From Sept. 14 through 18, participating H Town Restaurant Group locations will offer a sustainability-themed cocktail program benefiting Allies in Energy. Two HTX Tech Tours on Sept. 15 will visit Houston-area companies, campuses and projects, including Shell Technology Center Houston, SLB, Syzygy Plasmonics and Erthos Project Bravo. Startup programming will include Activate Houston’s 2026 fellows at the Ion. POST Houston will host the Cypher Pilotathon and Startup Showcase, featuring pitches from 31 ventures, while Astros Energy Night will take place at Daikin Park that evening. Additional events include Greentown Labs’ Climatech Summit, the Rice Alliance Energy Tech Venture Forum and Halliburton Labs Finalists Pitch Day. Together, the programs convene entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders, policymakers and researchers, reinforcing Houston’s role in energy innovation and linking institutions, companies and startups addressing climate and commercialization challenges.
