MassChallenge Names Dallas Its Second U.S. Headquarters, Renews Lyda Hill Support

MassChallenge is making Dallas its second U.S. headquarters with support from a renewed two-year grant from Lyda Hill Philanthropies. The funding will expand startup programs at Pegasus Park, helping North Texas research-based companies move toward commercialization and connect with corporate partners. Two ten-week accelerators are planned: one for health and life sciences, and another for security and resiliency. Both are designed to help early-stage founders reach technical, regulatory and commercial milestones. Founder Access Clinics will provide feedback on routes to market from academic, clinical and industry stakeholders. The partnership will also support INNOVATE ’26, a MassChallenge event scheduled for November 17 at Pegasus Park. MassChallenge’s collaboration with Pegasus Park began when the campus opened five years ago. Since 2022, the organization has run regional accelerators and events that connect founders with experts. Applications from Texas to its national programs have grown more than fivefold over that period, and attendance at its innovation events is approaching 1,000 a year. The expansion follows growing demand for life sciences space in Dallas. BioLabs at Pegasus Park filled its shared workspace in 15 months, compared with the five years originally projected. That demand contributed to the development of Bridge Labs, which opened on the campus in 2024 with 135,000 square feet of laboratory space for growing companies.
