Dallas Observer Supper Club Returns With Ateliê Dinner in Oak Cliff, Open to All Readers

Dinner at Ateliê comes with time to explore the art at Daisha Board Gallery, where the restaurant is located on historic Jefferson Avenue in Oak Cliff. The Dallas Observer is returning there for its next supper club event. Previous dinners were for members; this one is open to all readers, including those outside the Observer’s membership program. Chef Wyl Lima was born in Angola and moved to Texas at age 9. His cooking draws on African, Caribbean and European influences, with half chicken and cacio e pepe among Ateliê’s popular dishes. The supper club menu has not yet been announced. Lima previously worked at Le Margot in Fort Worth and Sister in Dallas. Under his direction, Sister appeared on The New York Times’ 2022 list of the best restaurants in America. He later opened The Charlotte in Knox-Henderson, focusing its menu on Southern food, and Ateliê grew out of his Oak Cliff pop-up dinners. The dinner is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m. at 367 W. Jefferson Blvd. Tickets are $125 for one person or $250 for two, covering a five-course meal, two drinks and gratuity.
