2026 Run South London Half Marathon Route Revealed Through Merton and Past All England Club

A new half marathon will take runners through Merton next spring, with a route passing the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Run South London is scheduled to make its debut on Sunday 14 March 2027. The 13.1-mile event is being organised by The Great Run Company in partnership with Merton Council. The course will start and finish at Morden Park. It will take runners past the tennis club’s grounds in SW19, through Wimbledon Park and across Wimbledon Common, as well as along streets in Morden and Raynes Park. Organisers say the route is intended to bring together the borough’s sporting landmarks, green spaces and residential neighbourhoods. The partners hope the race will encourage more people to be active and give residents a sense of local ownership. They also hope runners and spectators will bring customers to high streets, cafés, shops and hotels. Those are aims for the event, rather than measured effects of a race that has yet to take place. The Great Run Company wants Run South London to become a regular fixture in the capital’s running calendar, drawing participants from beyond the borough in future years. For its first edition, the announced route places both the starting line and the finish line in Morden Park.
