United Opens 54,000-Square-Foot Club at Houston Airport, Largest Airline Lounge in Americas

United Airlines has opened a new United Club at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, inside the newly opened Terminal B North Concourse. At 54,000 square feet, the airline says it is the largest airline lounge in the Americas. The club can seat 800 guests, giving United a substantial new lounge space at its Houston hub. The concourse spans three levels and 765,000 square feet, with 22 gates for mainline flights. Its new club includes a 1,350-square-foot outdoor terrace with panoramic airfield views, two full-service bars, two buffet stations and 11 private phone booths. The design draws on Houston’s cityscape and bayou landscape, as well as its aerospace history and cultural diversity. Artwork comes predominantly from Texas-based artists, including photography by a United employee based in San Antonio. The opening brings United’s lounge facilities at the airport to seven. Alongside the five United Clubs, passengers have access to United Club Fly on the south side of Terminal B, which opened in early 2025 and offers food, snacks and drinks to take to their gates after self-scan entry. The airport also has a United Polaris Lounge. The new club’s terrace adds outdoor space to the 800-seat facility, overlooking the airfield from Terminal B North.
