Things to Do in Cartersville This Weekend: Savoy Automobile Museum Car Show
Cartersville residents looking for weekend plans from Sept. 11-13 will find several regional options in metro Atlanta and North Georgia, although the event roundup does not list a program in Cartersville itself. The closest featured festival is the Taste & Brews Festival at Etowah River Park in Canton on Sept. 12-13. The free Canton event will include live music from eight bands, more than 20 food vendors, craft beer, cocktails, shopping, and local farmers’ plus arts-and-crafts markets. Other north metro choices include the free Face 2 Face Elton John and Billy Joel tribute concert in Woodstock on Sept. 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m., and the Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain Park, running through Sept. 13. The Yellow Daisy Festival brings together more than 400 artists and makers, with live music, a kids entrepreneur market, flower and plant displays, and a beer garden. Admission is free, though Stone Mountain Park charges a $20 parking fee. Sandy Springs Artsapalooza also runs Sept. 12-13, offering work from more than 100 artists, interactive art stations, live music and a children’s play area. Music options across the region include Brooks & Dunn in Alpharetta, Eric Dodd’s “OCONEE” vinyl-release show in Decatur, and Jazz on the Lawn at Atlanta’s Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. In Canton, Taste & Brews Festival combines its two-day food and music program with free admission.
