Atlanta Announces More Than 20 Cultural and Family Activities for November
From fall foliage walks to a new panda habitat, Atlanta’s November calendar has more than 20 cultural and family activities, according to a guide released by the local administration. It covers the city and nearby communities, with admission prices, parking details and public-transit options for each event. At Zoo Atlanta, the renovated Arthur M. Blank Panda Grove is set to debut with giant pandas Ping Ping and Fu Shuang; entry is included with a regular zoo ticket, listed at about $25 to $35. Pullman Yards will host the interactive Minecraft “Villager Rescue” experience, where visitors complete challenges and collect resources, while the Alliance Theatre will present the world premiere of *Like Father*. Free activities include the two-day First Voices PowWow in Little 5 Points, featuring traditional music, intertribal dancing and storytelling by William Harjo, and walks through Atlanta’s parks to see the fall foliage. The Atlanta Fair at Center Parc Stadium offers rides, games and food, and the Georgia Aquarium’s WinterTide display is included with general admission. The guide also lists a stop-motion exhibition at the Center for Puppetry Arts and voting in Georgia’s general election. Beyond the city, the schedule includes a German Christmas market in Lawrenceville and the Georgia Renaissance Festival’s Fall Fling in Fairburn. The festival’s 21-and-over After Dark events feature live music, fire performances and aerial acts; the guide notes that there is no direct bus service to the fairgrounds.
