Things to Do in Toronto This Fall 2026: Festivals, Halloween Events and Weekend Ideas
Toronto’s fall calendar gathers film premieres, changing leaves, waterfront programming and Halloween nights across the city from September through November 2026. The Toronto International Film Festival runs September 10 to 20 at TIFF Lightbox, Roy Thomson Hall and Scotiabank Theatre Toronto, with ticket and rush availability varying by screening. Major premieres are expected to draw the largest downtown crowds, particularly around King Street West. Late September brings several free events. The Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival runs September 18 to 20 with food, music, dance, artisans and cultural exhibits throughout the neighbourhood. Public Pier hosts three waterfront weekends at Marina Quay West from September 18 through October 3, featuring DJs, dance workshops, food, public art and projections. Ontario Culture Days also runs from September 18 to October 4, offering free cultural programming across Toronto and the province. Toronto Oktoberfest arrives at Garrison Common at Fort York on September 25 and 26, with food, beer, live entertainment, 19+ sessions and all-ages sessions. High Park offers trails framed by fall foliage, while Rouge National Urban Park has hiking routes overlooking the Rouge River and surrounding valleys. Nuit Blanche marks its 20th anniversary on October 3 and 4 with more than 70 art projects across Toronto under the theme “Tomorrow’s Memories.” Canada’s Wonderland’s Halloween Haunt runs on select nights from September 25 to November 1, and Legends of Horror returns to Casa Loma in October for its 10th anniversary.
