Resorts World New York City Opens International Room for High-Roller Gamblers
Resorts World New York City opened its International Room on October 22, adding a premium gaming space to the casino at 110-00 Rockaway Blvd. in South Ozone Park, Queens. The ribbon-cutting took place as the property marked its 15th anniversary. Queens-born rapper Nas attended the celebration. The roughly 13,657-square-foot room has 48 gaming tables and three private salons offering high-limit baccarat, roulette and blackjack. The salons can be reserved for personalized service, including karaoke and other entertainment options. Guests also have access to hosted service, upgraded beverages and hot and cold food around the clock. The opening is part of a wider expansion of the casino’s first floor. That project is adding 57 table games and 147 slot machines, bringing Resorts World New York City’s totals to nearly 300 live table games and more than 4,000 slots. Meghan Taylor, the property’s senior vice president of government affairs and public relations, said the room offers a level of private, high-touch service that players previously had to leave the city to find. The addition follows the start of construction on the second phase of a $5.5 billion resort development. Plans call for a 7,000-seat arena, dozens of bars and restaurants, 2,000 hotel rooms and 11 acres of green space.
