
Students called on to aid unorganised sector with innovative ideas
At the recent management fest 'AD-MANIA 2K26' held at Bright Business School in Hubballi, Uday Revankar, honorary secretary of the Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the vital role of innovative ideas in supporting the unorganised sector, a crucial component of India's economy. He encouraged young management students to harness their creativity to foster growth in this area, highlighting the significance of branding and advertising in connecting products with consumers. Revankar also pointed out the Indian government's commitment to the animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics (AVGC) sector, with a substantial allocation of ₹250 crore in the 2026 Budget. This investment underscores the growing importance of the AVGC industry, which offers numerous career opportunities for students interested in advertising and media. Nataraj, head of LG Electronics for North Karnataka and Goa, reinforced the idea that creativity is essential for brand creation. He urged students to leverage their innovative ideas to build successful brands in today's competitive market. The event saw participation from students across 20 colleges in North Karnataka, providing them with a valuable glimpse into the dynamic world of advertising and media.
