Rome will host the fourth edition of Rome Future Week from 21 to 27 September, with hundreds of events examining how work, education, film, mobility, housing and the relationship between people, businesses and the city are changing. The 2026 programme is built around the theme “Raw Material”, focusing on people, skills, ideas and relationships as drivers of transformation.
The event will be organised through 11 Future Hubs, bringing together companies, institutions, universities, schools, research centres, start-ups, professionals, students and residents. Its first three editions produced 974 events, involving more than 75,000 participants, 250 ambassadors and 1,000 organisers. Eni and Road-Rome Advanced District are the main partners, while the Lazio Region is the main institutional partner.
The future of work and skills will be a central topic. Sole 24 Ore Business School will hold four events at its Rome site, including an innovation-focused open day for recent graduates. Deep Blue will address responsible AI adoption and ethics, while other partners will focus on career guidance, vocational training, EdTech and companies’ emerging needs.
Cinema, sustainability and economic change will also feature prominently. On 21 September, the Casa del Cinema will host Frame, a hub on audiovisual production, generative AI and new industry professions, alongside the Corti Futuri contest for young filmmakers. Nextchem will lead a 24 September panel on green chemistry technologies for decarbonisation, while the Bank of Italy will hold a 25 September event on the digital euro. Base Futuro will involve seven Rome schools, at least eight sessions, about 20 classes, 700 students and 65 teachers.
