Emami Ltd, a prominent player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, has announced its decision to acquire a 60% stake in IncNut Digital for ₹321 crore. This Hyderabad-based company specializes in personalized beauty and personal care, boasting flagship brands Vedix and SkinKraft. The acquisition is part of Emami's strategy to enhance its presence in the rapidly growing beauty and personal care market, which is increasingly leaning towards customized solutions. The agreement stipulates that Emami will acquire the remaining stake in IncNut within the next four and a half years, with the final consideration based on future performance metrics. This move is expected to bolster Emami’s portfolio by integrating IncNut's data-driven, personalized offerings that combine Ayurvedic principles with modern scientific formulation. Both Vedix and SkinKraft cater to individual customer needs, providing tailored haircare and skincare solutions. Chaitanya Nallan, the Founder and CEO of IncNut Digital, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting that Emami's expertise will accelerate innovation and expand their market reach. As consumer preferences shift towards efficacy and personalization, this acquisition positions Emami to capitalize on significant growth opportunities in the beauty sector, both in India and globally.
