Fairview's National Night Out: Strengthening Community Ties
National Night Out is just around the corner in Fairview, taking place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. This beloved annual event presents a wonderful chance for neighbors to come together and strengthen the bonds within our community. By encouraging residents to host gatherings—whether it’s a block party, a cookout, or an ice cream social—we can foster a sense of unity and enhance neighborhood safety. One exciting aspect of this year’s celebration is that the first five registered events will have the opportunity to welcome deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. These visits not only bring a sense of security but also provide an engaging way for residents to interact with local law enforcement. Additionally, these early registrants will receive a swag bag filled with fun items and valuable public safety resources, making their event even more special. If you’re interested in hosting an event, be sure to register with the City of Fairview by July 20. This is a great way to ensure your gathering is officially recognized and supported. If you plan to use a city park or need to close a street for your event, don’t forget to complete the necessary applications. The good news is that fees for street closures will be waived, making it easier for everyone to participate.
