The upcoming visit to Shandong Province, led by Mr. Tang Ping-keung, the Secretary for Security, promises to be an enriching experience for over 70 members of the Security Bureau Youth Uniformed Group Leaders Forum. This initiative aims to deepen their understanding of China's rich history and vibrant culture, alongside its impressive modern development. The group will also include participants from Shenzhen University and youth representatives from Macao's public security forces. Scheduled to last six days, the study tour will provide an immersive exploration of Shandong, a province renowned for its historical significance and cultural heritage. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with local traditions, historical sites, and contemporary advancements, fostering a comprehensive perspective on the region's evolution. Mr. Tang will return to Hong Kong on July 22, while Mr. Michael Cheuk, the Under Secretary for Security, will take over leadership for the final leg of the tour. This initiative not only highlights the importance of cultural exchange but also emphasizes the role of youth in understanding and appreciating their heritage, thereby strengthening community ties and fostering a sense of belonging.
