Set to screen in the Special Presentations section, the film will be showcased at the festival, which begins on September 10. TIFF is renowned as North America's largest film festival and is considered one of the foremost global film events, alongside Venice, Cannes, and Berlin. "Possible Love" delves into the complexities of marital relationships and class differences, focusing on two couples from contrasting economic backgrounds. The narrative unfolds as a laid-off heavy-industry worker, portrayed by Sol Kyung-gu, and his wife, played by Jeon Do-yeon, become intertwined with a wealthy filmmaker, played by Cho Yeo-jeong, and her husband, Zo In-sung. The film explores the psychological tensions and conflicts that arise from their differing values and perspectives. Produced as a Netflix original, "Possible Love" is Lee's first feature in eight years. To meet the eligibility criteria for international festivals and the Academy Awards, Netflix plans to release the film in Korean theaters before it becomes available for streaming worldwide later this year.
