2026 World Digital Education Conference to be held in Hangzhou
The 2026 World Digital Education Conference is set to take place in Hangzhou, China, as announced by the Ministry of Education during a recent press conference in Beijing. This event aims to foster international collaboration in the field of digital education, with nearly 40 institutions having applied for membership in the World Digital Education Alliance. The selection of high-quality applicants is intended to enhance the alliance's global network and professional support capabilities. In conjunction with the conference, the alliance will host its inaugural Global Youth Artificial Intelligence Study Camp from May 10 to 14. This program invites high school students from around the world, bringing together 27 teams from 23 countries, including Cambodia, Egypt, Russia, and Thailand. Participants will engage in lectures and hands-on activities focused on artificial intelligence and digital education, promoting international youth exchanges. The camp will feature practical projects such as 3D modeling, programming, and drone control, designed to enhance students' digital skills and innovation capabilities. Additionally, on May 11, the alliance will convene its General Assembly to discuss strategic development and future activities, further solidifying its role as a key player in global digital education initiatives.
