Keli, a new restaurant in Madrid's upscale Salamanca district, is a vibrant tribute to the city's rich culture and lifestyle. Designed by the Rockwell Group for restaurateur Kike Sierra, this three-storey venue accommodates 224 guests and aims to provide a unique blend of food, art, and hospitality. The name "Keli," derived from Spanish slang for "house," reflects the restaurant's inviting atmosphere, encouraging patrons to feel at home as they explore its various spaces. The design of Keli is inspired by the life of a well-travelled collector, with each floor revealing a different chapter of their experiences. The interiors are characterized by rich colors, bespoke furnishings, and carefully selected artwork, creating intimate environments that invite guests to wander and discover. The bold color palette and graphic elements draw inspiration from the cinematic world of Pedro Almodóvar, adding a distinctive flair to the overall ambiance. The mezzanine features a beautifully restored Versailles parquet floor, while the open kitchen showcases blue and white geometric tiles, complemented by communal dining tables beneath an eye-catching yellow light fixture. A cozy library bar offers a retreat filled with books and art, with custom chandeliers echoing the charm of Madrid’s historic street lamps. As guests ascend to the second floor, they encounter a more intimate setting, with red-painted timber walls and golden drapery framing informal dining areas adorned with portraits of notable Spanish figures. Keli's lower level surprises visitors with a hidden games room draped in red velvet and a music room that celebrates Madrid's nightlife through its warm timber finishes and artistic displays.
