BMC3I TAP Lab and Catalyst Campus Launch New Program to Boost Tech Development in Colorado Springs
The BMC3I TAP Lab in Colorado Springs has recently evolved into a new initiative in partnership with Catalyst Campus for Technology and Innovation (CCTI). This collaboration aims to enhance the relationship between commercial innovators and government stakeholders, specifically focusing on Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, and Space Intelligence (BMC3I) mission needs. The program is structured to facilitate a streamlined pathway for companies eager to engage with the BMC3I TAP Lab, fostering innovation and collaboration in the technology sector. Kicking off this initiative is the “Mission Catalyst Summit,” scheduled for July 21-23, 2026. This three-day event will take place at the Catalyst Campus and the BMC3I TAP Lab, offering a free platform for participants to learn about the lab's mission priorities, available resources, and collaboration opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to hear from lab leadership, understand current mission challenges, and connect with technology stakeholders. Unlike traditional accelerator programs, the summit is designed to be inclusive, welcoming a broader audience interested in the BMC3I mission. Following the summit, Phase 1 of the BMC3I TAP Lab program will commence, featuring a six-week cohort experience. This phase is tailored for selected Focus Area Cohort Teams (FACTs) to align their technologies with mission needs and foster customer discovery efforts. Participants will engage in a mix of virtual and in-person activities, including workshops and direct collaboration with mission stakeholders, enhancing their understanding of operational success. To ensure clarity about the new program structure, Catalyst Campus recently hosted a virtual Ask Me Anything webinar. This session provided insights into the updated model, application processes, and what participants can expect. The BMC3I TAP Lab program builds on years of successful collaboration, aiming to accelerate solution development and facilitate the transition of commercial technologies into operational use.
