Open House Chicago 2026 returns October 17–18
Open House Chicago 2026 takes place across Chicago on October 17 and 18, offering free access to a citywide selection of sites. Organized by the Chicago Architecture Center, the festival includes more than 200 locations in over 30 Chicago neighborhoods. Because sites are spread throughout the city, CTA buses and trains, Divvy and Metra are recommended ways to travel between stops. Chicago Architecture Center members and Open House Chicago volunteers receive priority access, which can help reduce time spent in lines. The festival runs rain or shine. In severe weather, updates will be communicated through the event website and social media.
