UGA PhD student wins John Lewis Writing Grant in Poetry
UGA PhD student O-Jeremiah Agbaakin has been awarded the John Lewis Writing Grant in Poetry. This grant, inspired by the late Civil Rights icon, supports Black writers in Georgia. Agbaakin, originally from Nigeria, is pursuing his doctorate in Creative Writing at the University of Georgia. He recently discussed his evolving views on poetry and shared his latest work with WUGA.
