Construction of Ayush hospitals to begin in 7 districts: Bihar Minister
The Bihar government is set to enhance healthcare access by constructing Ayush hospitals in seven districts, including Begusarai, Darbhanga, and Gaya, starting in the 2026-27 financial year. This initiative aims to expand traditional medicine services, particularly Ayurveda, for patients outside the capital. Health Minister Mangal Pandey emphasized the importance of continuous learning and skill development during a recent workshop for practitioners of various Ayush disciplines. The workshop focused on clinical management and aimed to align practitioners with public health priorities, reflecting a growing public confidence in Ayurveda post-COVID-19. Currently, 294 health and wellness centers are operational in Bihar, providing Ayush-based interventions for common health issues.
