Patterns and Characteristics of Mobile App Use to Promote Wellness and Manage Illness: Cross-Sectional Study

Pubblicato da Wellness Way · 2 mesi fa

A recent study explored the usage patterns of mobile health (mHealth) apps among Czech adults, revealing that nearly 49% of respondents engaged with these tools for wellness and illness management. Younger individuals, those with higher incomes, and greater eHealth literacy were more likely to use these apps. The most popular apps focused on step counting, sleep tracking, and monitoring vital signs. The findings suggest that mHealth app engagement is influenced by broader social and digital factors, highlighting the need for inclusive strategies to ensure equitable access to health technologies. Addressing issues related to body image and dietary concerns is essential to prevent exacerbating existing health inequalities.
