Delta Air Lines to Launch First Nonstop Los Angeles-Manila Flights Starting March 2027
Delta Air Lines is set to enhance travel connectivity by launching its first-ever nonstop service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Manila (MNL) on March 28, 2027. This new route marks Delta's return to the Philippines and positions it as the only U.S. carrier offering direct flights to Manila from the mainland. Utilizing the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900, Delta aims to establish a crucial link between Southern California and one of Asia's rapidly growing markets. Initially, the service will operate three times a week, with plans to increase to daily flights starting June 7, 2027. Outbound flights will depart from Los Angeles at 11:50 p.m., while return flights will leave Manila at 7:40 a.m. This schedule is designed to accommodate both business and leisure travelers, making it easier for passengers to connect with family, friends, and business opportunities in the Philippines. The significance of this new route is underscored by the growing number of American tourists visiting the Philippines. Recent data indicates that the United States has become the largest source of tourist arrivals in the country, with over 591,500 American visitors recorded in the first half of 2026 alone.
