Newlywed from Kottur Found Dead at Home in Kampala, Uganda; Body to Return to Bengaluru
A tragic incident has unfolded in Kampala, Uganda, where a 22-year-old woman named Bindu H Ajjol was found dead at her residence. Originally from Kannanayakanakatte village in Karnataka, India, Bindu had recently married Chandrashekhar Gutti on June 7, 2025, and the couple had relocated to Kampala for work. Family members describe Bindu as a devoted daughter who maintained daily communication with her mother, ensuring a close connection despite the distance. On June 27, the day of the incident, Bindu reportedly called her husband to return home for lunch. Upon his arrival, he discovered her hanging, prompting immediate action. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, doctors declared her dead upon arrival. The circumstances surrounding her death have raised concerns, leading to a thorough investigation and legal procedures in Uganda. In the wake of this heartbreaking event, Shivamurthy Shivacharya Swamiji of Taralabalu Peetha in Sirigere, who was visiting Germany at the time, took swift action to assist the family. He coordinated with the Indian Embassy in Uganda to expedite the necessary formalities for repatriating Bindu's body back to India. The postmortem and legal processes were completed promptly, allowing for the return of her remains to her grieving family. Bindu's body is scheduled to leave Uganda on an Emirates flight, with a layover in Dubai, and is expected to arrive at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. This tragic loss has left her family and community in mourning, highlighting the importance of support and connection during difficult times. As they await her return, the family is grappling with the profound grief of losing a beloved daughter and wife.
