Comic Quest! Workshop at Coolock Library
Coolock Library is excited to announce its participation in the Creative Hubs Summer Programme 2026, featuring a range of engaging workshops designed for children and families. On July 20th, talented animator and illustrator Kate Escolin will host the "Comic Quest!" workshops, tailored for young aspiring artists. The first session, aimed at children aged 5-7 and their guardians, will kick off at 10:30 am, followed by a second session for those aged 8-12 at 12:30 pm. During these interactive workshops, participants will have the chance to unleash their creativity by designing their own characters and crafting unique stories. Through a combination of fun drawing activities and storytelling exercises, children will learn how to transform their imaginative ideas into vibrant comic strips. This hands-on experience is perfect for young minds eager to dive into the exciting world of comics and storytelling, making it a fantastic summer activity. All necessary materials will be provided, ensuring that everyone can fully engage in the creative process without the need for prior experience.
