York Regional Police Training and Education Bureau, East Gwillimbury

Join us for an exciting event as the York Regional Police proudly presents the "Explore Policing: Asian Community Event" on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Taking place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Training and Education Bureau in East Gwillimbury, this gathering is a wonderful way to honor Asian Heritage Month while fostering connections within our community. This event provides a unique platform for attendees to engage with Asian members of the police force. Participants will have the chance to learn about the recruitment process, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into what a career in policing entails. The day promises to be informative and inspiring, featuring a panel discussion with officers and their families from East-Southeast and South Asian backgrounds, who will share their experiences and perspectives. In addition to the panel, YRP recruiters will be on hand to provide presentations and answer any queries about joining the force. Attendees can also enjoy guided tours of the Training and Education Bureau, complete with demonstrations that showcase the skills and training involved in law enforcement. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., and we encourage individuals interested in a policing career, along with their families, to join us. When registering, please let us know how many will be attending and specify who is interested in pursuing a career in policing. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the world of policing while celebrating the rich contributions of the Asian community. Don’t miss out!
