Art Gallery of Burlington Hosts Dual Exhibition Event on May 16

16 maggio 2026
Art Gallery of Burlington, Burlington

Join us at the Art Gallery of Burlington on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM for a unique event that marks both the opening and closing of two extraordinary exhibitions. This is a perfect chance to immerse yourself in the world of art, starting with the debut of "Celina Eceiza: A material called Earth, Volume 1: The life of corners." This captivating installation will transform the Lee-Chin Family Gallery with its vibrant hand-dyed textiles and striking large-scale drawings, inviting visitors to explore the intricate relationship between art and nature. At the same time, we will bid farewell to "Phuong Nguyen: 'she died a death of a thousand cuts'" in the Perry Gallery, which will conclude its run on May 17. This exhibition has offered profound insights into the complexities of identity and experience, and this event provides a final opportunity to engage with Nguyen's powerful work. A highlight of the afternoon will be a talk and guided tour led by artist Celina Eceiza and curator Sylvie Fortin at 1:30 PM, offering deeper insights into the creative processes behind the exhibitions. Families are also invited to join in the fun with free programming led by artist Camila Salcedo in the Creative Commons from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This engaging activity is designed for all ages, making it a perfect way to inspire creativity in children and adults alike. Don't miss out on this enriching cultural experience right in the heart of Burlington. Admission is free, and we welcome everyone to come and celebrate the vibrant art scene in our community.
