Alameda Free Library Hosts Annual Pride Festival on June 20

20 giugno 2026
Leydecker Park, Alameda

Join us in celebrating Pride Month at the Alameda Free Library's annual Pride Festival on Saturday, June 20, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. This vibrant event will take place at Leydecker Park, conveniently located next to the Bay Farm Island Library. The festivities will kick off with an exciting Drag King Storytime led by the award-winning performer Jota Mercury, starting at 10:30 AM. It's a fantastic way to engage with stories that inspire and uplift. After the storytime, the fun continues with a variety of activities for all ages. Kids and families can enjoy face painting, craft stations for button making and bookmark decorating, and much more. Local organizations, including Rainbow Families Action, will have booths set up to share resources and information. Plus, the library staff will be giving away free books that celebrate Pride, available while supplies last, so be sure to grab one! This family-friendly festival is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and honor LGBTQIA+ joy during National Pride Month. It's a day filled with laughter, creativity, and togetherness, making it a perfect outing for everyone. The Bay Farm Island Library is located at 3221 Mecartney Road and is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone can join in on the celebration. For any questions or additional information, feel free to contact the library at 510-747-7787. We can't wait to see you there!
