The Silver Room Block Party, a cornerstone of Chicago's Black creative community, is set to return on July 18, 2026, at a new venue—the Salt Shed. After a two-year hiatus due to rising production costs at its previous location, Oakwood Beach, the festival is making a comeback. Founder Eric Williams emphasized the event's cultural significance and the public's demand for its return. The Salt Shed offers a more cost-effective setting compared to traditional street festivals.
