Hobart family reunited with dog nearly four years after it disappeared from home
In a heartwarming Christmas story, Depha Miedecke was reunited with her beloved dog, Lucy, after three long years apart. While wrapping presents on Christmas Eve, she came across a photo of a dog living rough in Tasmania, which resembled Lucy, who had gone missing in March 2022. With the help of local pet catcher Lisa Green, Lucy was captured on Christmas Day, and a microchip scan confirmed her identity. Although Lucy had lost weight and was in rough shape, the family is overjoyed to have her back home, grateful for the community's support during her absence. As Lucy begins her recovery, her family is hopeful that she will adjust back to life with them.
