Five inducted into Arlington Sports Hall of Fame, including lacrosse player for first time
The Arlington Sports Hall of Fame is set to welcome its Class of 2026, featuring five remarkable inductees, including a notable first: a lacrosse player. Brian Rosenberger, who excelled at both Bishop O'Connell High School and Marymount University, will be honored as the first representative of lacrosse in the Hall. He joins a distinguished group that includes Robert Asher, Tony Bentley, Clayton Deskins, and Marcus Ginyard. The induction ceremony will take place on October 14 at the Knights of Columbus Main Hall, marking a significant milestone as the Hall of Fame grows to 79 inductees since its inception in 1958. Tony Bentley, the head boys basketball coach at Wakefield High School, is the only active member among the inductees. With an impressive record of 407 wins, Bentley has led his teams to multiple championships and has been recognized as Coach of the Year several times.
