Redbridge Youth Eco Skills Festival 2026 Empowers Students for a Greener Future
Redbridge is excited to announce the upcoming Youth Eco Skills Festival (YES Fest) 2026, taking place on Thursday, July 2, at the Redbridge Central Library. This vibrant event is designed specifically for secondary school students, offering them a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops that focus on environmental awareness and sustainability. The festival aims not only to equip young people with essential eco skills but also to inspire them to take meaningful action in their communities for a healthier planet. Each secondary school in Redbridge is invited to bring up to five students along with one accompanying teacher, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. The festival will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, providing a full day packed with interactive learning experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom settings. Students will have the chance to explore various topics related to sustainability, from renewable energy to waste reduction, all while working alongside peers who share their passion for the environment. This festival represents a valuable opportunity for students to engage with some of the most pressing environmental issues of our time. By participating in YES Fest, they will not only develop practical skills but also gain the confidence to advocate for change in their own communities. For any questions or further information, please reach out to ourneighbourhood@redbridge.gov.uk. We look forward to welcoming students and teachers alike to this inspiring event, where together we can pave the way for a greener future.
